8 Mistakes That Will Ruin Upcoming Movies
1. Black Adam - Suicide Squad 2
The Mistake: The Rock's Black Adam as the main villain.
The original Suicide Squad had many problems, but chief among them was the use of Enchantress as the primary villain.
It was ridiculous to have regular human characters like Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Rick Flag and Captain Boomerang facing off against an all-powerful witch, and the resolution of their conflict felt incredibly convoluted as a result (couldn't Enchantress just kill them all rather easily?).
Even David Ayer - the film's director - agrees that Enchantress was the wrong choice, outright stating that Joker should have taken her place. This would've made the film more grounded, as it should have been; magical, mystical threats are for the Justice League to face, and the Suicide Squad should deal with smaller, street-level missions that better fit their powers.
With this in mind, wouldn't it be logical for Suicide Squad 2 to feature a relatively underpowered villain like Joker, or even Penguin? Well, yes it would - but the people behind the film apparently disagree.
Late last year, it was reported that Black Adam (played by The Rock) would make his DCEU debut in Suicide Squad 2, acting as the skwad's target and villain of the movie. That's Black Adam - a guy with Superman-level strength, endurance, supernatural speed and the ability to fly. How the hell can the Suicide Squad face that and live?
Realistically, they can't - it doesn't make any sense. But we're sure the movie will come up with some contrived way to ensure they triumph.
