Coma The Doof Warrior became an instant hit because of his brief appearance in Fury Road, where he provides an awesome live music show to keep the War Boys pumped up. Plus that flame-throwing guitar is completely badass.

There’s no denying he’s a strange chap, though, and he’s clearly had a rough time out in the wasteland. George Miller again drew up a story for the character, which isn’t even hinted at in the movie. It turns out Coma was a musical prodigy from a young age and lived happily with his mother until they were both kidnapped by bandits.

His mother was later killed and her head thrown into his lap, and when Immortan Joe later found him in a cave he was still clinging to her severed head. Joe took him in to lead his war band, and Coma cut the face off his mother's head so he wear it into battle; which isn't creepy at all.
