4. Joss Whedon
The God of Geeks has - without a doubt - created an empire based on cult classics and fan favorites that span from Buffy the Vampire Slayer all the way to The Avengers. Joss Whedon has become ingrained in every household as the man who must be involved in comic book films from now if we want them to be good. He is the formula. With his history on shows like Firefly, Whedon already had a stable fanbase, but after directing of The Avengers, he has become the most valuable man in Hollywood and beyond. Best of all, Whedon seems undefeated so far. And that is the thing about Whedon - fans worship him more than his movies. But there is nothing wrong with that because it is Whedon's films and shows that could bring rivalling nations at war together as one. It is the faith and trust that fans have in Whedon that make him so popular. He promises and almost always delivers products that audiences are not often treated to, as witnessed with the success of The Avengers. Fans treat him as a king within the realms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, of course, and it's hard to argue with that notion.
