5. Put John McClane In A More Intimate Scenario (And Give Him A Memorable Villain) - Die Hard
Remember when John McClane was just an ordinary guy, and not the character Bruce Willis plays in M. Night Shyamalan's Unbreakable (an invincible superhero, in case you haven't seen the movie)? Me neither, given that - in the last two movies, at least (and you could probably argue the third) he's being transformed into a generic action character. None of the traits that made John McClane so great originally are anywhere to be seen. He's... boring. So when that inevitable sixth movie starts production, why don't we go back to basics? Instead of having John McClane shooting up Russia, or clinging onto fighter jets and driving cars into helicopters, why don't we have him in a smaller, more intimate situation - one where he has to use his brain and wits to survive, and hey, maybe he'll get beaten around a bit more, too, like in the old days? More importantly, give this man an interesting villain again - somebody who we can remember when the movie ends, a feature which has been annoyingly absent since the third installment.
