2. The Iconic Stormtrooper Head Bump - Star Wars: A New Hope

A botch so charming and undeniably hilarious, George Lucas had absolutely no choice but to lean into the silliness.

For decades, fans of the galaxy far, far away had been cracking up at the clearly accidental moment involving an unlucky stormtrooper colliding with a Death Star door during the events of A New Hope. Rather than find a way to tinker away this obvious blunder, though, Lucas ultimately opted to shine a light on the Imperial head-bang when it came time to re-release the flick in 2004.

Attempting to make this result of some poor helmet visibility seem like an entirely intentional one, the director added a comical clunk noise to the mix when said accidental impact goes down during the stormtroopers' search of the control room.

Then, in yet another nod to this actor's awkward Death Star entrance, Lucas would add a cheeky shout-out to the moment in Attack of the Clones, with Jango Fett also smacking his head off the door when trying to board his ship on Kamino.

And it all started with Laurie Goode's upset stomach apparently distracting him long enough to take his eyes off the incoming blast door.
