6. Armond White Spends A Whole Review Admiring John Cena's Muscles
Armond White is an American critic known for his famously contrarian film reviews; hes the kind of chap who will pan Toy Story 3 and There Will Be Blood, while praising Resident Evil: Afterlife as a visionary treat superior to Inception and Avatar on every level. He's a former professor and intellectual so hes clearly no dummy, with some people thinking he's just a troll who likes to provoke a reaction; while he maintains he just calls it like he sees it. Plenty of his reviews have proved controversial over the years, and this year a lot of readers took exception to his review of Amy Schumers Trainwreck. His review is quite bizarre, as he spends most of it talking about wrestler John Cena and his fabulous body. Hes full of praise for Cenas performance while decrying the film as somehow homophobic because his character is a little dim. Its a bizarre, unfocused rant that upset people, as he barely mentions the star or anything else about the movie. The review received scores of complaints dismissing it as barely coherent and completely off topic; which to be fair isnt the first time his reviews have been accused of this.
