5. Jeffrey Wells Gets "Torn Apart" For His Revenant Review
Boy oh boy, critic Jeffery Wells did not know what he was stepping into when he tweeted about Leonardo DiCaprio movie The Revenant. He found the film to be an intense, visceral experience that women just wouldnt able to handle. Predictably enough some people found the last statement a bit offensive, and he replied to all complaints by digging an even deeper hole for himself. He claimed other female critics or career women as he described them at the screening were all shrieking and flinching at the movie; hence all women would react the same way. After a bunch of facepalm inducing replies he finally wrote a blog where he offered something of an apology, admitting he could have phrased his initial tweet better. He obviously wasnt happy about this, comparing his experience of being attacked on Twitter to ...a wildebeest being surrounded and torn apart by hyenas or wild dogs. He went on to attack P.C.Twitter goons and pity himself some more.
