Vice really hurt Zach Braffs feelings when they wrote a retrospective review of his indie quirk fest Garden State, where they examined how it quickly went from critical darling to being widely despised. The article doesnt hold back on the movie or Braff who wrote and directed who is called super dull, super boring and super annoying in quick succession. Reaction to the review was swift, with people who still love the movie slamming the writer for his mean spirited piece. Things became very interesting when Braff himself started passive aggressively tweeting about it, sending the writer Dan Ozzi messages like That was a tremendously mean article you wrote about my film. He had something of a mini-meltdown on social media over it, which then inspired other articles about his reaction, like the hilariously titled If You Mock Garden State, You Will Hurt Zach Braffs Fragile Heart. This led to more debate about the film, but the most shocking thing about the whole argument is that people still like Garden State in 2015.
