8 Reasons Why Justice League Will Make Ben Affleck The Definitive Batman
4. He Has The Best Suits
So far, through the franchise, Batman’s suits have been a mixed bag, with an impetus on poor quality (sadly). They've varied from Adam West's overly revealing spandex and satin to George Clooney's immovable latex and nipples and even Christian Bale's suit in Batman Begins was highly impractical and restrictive.
But the batsuit in BvS was significantly more practical than those worn by previous incarnations, with it being genuinely knife-proof, whilst allowing full flexibility. Heavily inspired by The Dark Knight Returns (his armoured mech suit even more so), this batsuit reflects the longevity of Bruce Wayne's career as Batman, from its brass knuckles to the general wear-and-tear of the suit.
His main suit in Justice League also incorporates aspects from the New 52, and his new cowl is a mix between Batman: Noel and Owl Man from Zack Snyder’s 2009 movie, Watchmen. Fed up with his clunky mech suit (which took severe damage when Batman fought Superman), the new tactical suit is specifically designed to kick parademon tail and is visually as impressive as his other suits with more of an Arkham Origins meets Arkham Knight aesthetic.
This comic-accurate suit, with black and grey, means Affleck looks more like the Batman from the comics and animated series that was so successful.
