8 Smartest Decisions In Zombie Movie History

2. Mowing Down The Undead - Braindead

Peter Jackson may these days be synonymous with all things Middle Earth thanks to the success of his Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies, but the filmmaker's younger days saw him playing in the horror play pit with the likes of Bad Taste and Braindead.

A zombie offering, 1992's Braindead - also known as Dead or Alive in some markets - features one of the most inventive, effective methods committed to film when it comes to taking down a horde of zombies.

After the undead are joined by further reanimated corpses, things look grim for Timothy Balme's Lionel, Diana PeƱalver's Paquita and Ian Watkin's Les as zombies run amok through their mansion setting.

In a move that should be applauded for its sheer ingenuity, Lionel's way of dealing with the masses of shuffling sorts who stand in his way of survival is to enter the mansion with a lawnmower strapped to his chest.

From there, he simply strolls through the pack of zombies in front of him, with the mower's blades sending limbs flying as its slices through the ghoulish creatures looking to chow down on Lionel.
