8 Star Wars Movie Scenes Where Reshoots Are Painfully Obvious

5. Luke's Force Ghost - Rise Of Skywalker

While J.J. Abrams has claimed that there were fewer reshoots on Rise of Skywalker than on The Force Awakens, one key scene was the result of going back to the drawing board after production had wrapped.

Late in the movie, Luke Skywalker returns in Force Ghost form to comfort Rey, give some exposition about how he and Leia always knew she was a Palpatine and get her ready for the final battle. According to Maryann Brandon, the film's co-editor, Luke's scene was always in the script, but the dialogue wasn't finalised until the rest of the flick was locked in place.

Now this thankfully doesn't detract too much from the final scene, but knowing this sequence was a reshoot late in the day does explain the look of Luke's Force Ghost feeling a bit off and different from the others in the series, and even from those seen in The Last Jedi.
