8 Supporting Actors Who Were Paid SIGNIFICANTLY More Than The Main Star

6. Arnold Schwarzenegger Made More Than George Clooney (Batman & Robin)

It's hard to imagine anyone getting paid millions of dollars for delivering a performance as universally-hated as Arnold Schwarzenegger's turn as Mr. Freeze in Batman & Robin, but that's exactly what the hulking Austrian was able to do.

Throughout the '90s he was one of the most bankable movie stars in the world, and getting him to face off against Batman was a big deal. Because of his value, he was paid a massive $25 million for his villainous turn, around $1 million per day he spent on the set (that's also roughly $1 million per terrible ice pun).

But leading man George Clooney wasn't quite so lucky in the financial department. Producer Peter MacGregor-Scott (via THR) described him as a "bargain", and while his exact salary is unknown, Clooney himself has provided some details that might help us work it out. Maths! Yay!

In 2019, he stated that Schwarzenegger was paid "20 times more" then he was for the movie. With Schwarzenegger at $25 million, that would put Clooney at a respectable $1.25 million. Not exactly Bruce Wayne money though, is it?
