Another Superman-related entry, this more recent example revolves around 2013's Man Of Steel, with the actor behind the title character once again getting a lower payday than one of their supporting co-stars.

In the years after the movie came out, there were reports that Henry Cavill earned a massive $14 million to play the famous hero in this DCEU solo movie, but as Vulture pointed out, that simply isn't true. Rather, Cavill earned a six-figure paycheque in the region of $300,000 for the role, a normal amount for someone who's new to leading a major blockbuster franchise.

But Adams, who was a much bigger name than Cavill at the time (she had already received multiple Oscar nominations) got a lot more. She reportedly earned a wage somewhere in the seven-figure range, and while the exact amount isn't known, that's potentially a couple of million dollars more than her heroic love interest.

However, Cavill will have earned much more for his subsequent appearances as Supes in Batman V Superman and Justice League, and is now able to command seven-figure salaries himself, as he recently did in Netflix's The Witcher.
