8 Terrible Movies That Could Totally Be Saved By A Remake

5. Disney's The Black Cauldron

tumblr_mez7ajSpO71rml9rto1_1280 Disney made a rated R film once... Well, almost. The year 1985 saw one of Disney's most daring releases of all time. The Black Cauldron, based off The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander, has got to be the darkest film Mouse House ever made. To begin with the story is high fantasy, which is awesome, but an odd choice for a kid's film. Then to make matters worse people die by swords and axes and the main villain, the Horned King, is a horrifying monster using sorcery to rule the world. Sounds awesome really, but regrettably it wasn't. After being threatened with an R rating Disney had to scale back on the violence. In the end the result was a humorless venture that failed miserably at the box office. Totally worth the remake as fans of high fantasy all know too well that there isn't enough of it screen wise to go around (witness the popularity of Game of Thrones).
