6. The Main "Villain" Will Be The Red Hood

Curious about how The Joker is going to factor into this movie? Well, reliable sources have indicated that it will be based on the "Under the Hood" storyline which featured former Robin Jason Todd (the second youngster to hold that mantle) returning to Gotham City desperate for revenge on the man that "killed" him and the mentor who let him die at the hands of his greatest villain. This has been pretty obvious since Robin's defaced costume was spotted on display in the Batcave, but it sounds like things will play out slightly differently to the comic books. The latest trailer for Batman V Superman made it clear that Bats is viewed as a criminal, but the Red Hood will make that public perception even worse when he imitates the Dark Knight and starts framing him for brutal attacks throughout Gotham. All the while, he'll be leaving the World's Greatest Detective clues about his true identity, and this case will ultimately lead to a huge confrontation between Batman, The Joker, and the Red Hood. The studio has big plans for the latter apparently - including a spinoff movie of his own - so expect to see him portrayed less as a Punisher type character here and more as an anti-hero who will no doubt find redemption.
