5. Expect An Appearance From Nightwing

Those of you familiar with the DC Universe will no doubt be well aware that Jason Todd was the second Robin, with Dick Grayson serving as the first. Back when Batman V Superman was still in the casting stages, Adam Driver was apparently being eyed for the role of Nightwing, but that for some reason never came to fruition. Regardless of what happened there, the character is expected make his big screen debut here. Nightwing is actually expected to be referenced in Batman V Superman, but will appear in this solo outing for the Dark Knight as an ally who comes back to Gotham City to help take on The Joker and the Red Hood. Back when he was being cast for Dawn Of Justice it was said that he and Batman don't have a good relationship, so it will be interesting to see whether or not that ends up coming into play. Most importantly, Nightwing's role debunks that insane fan theory that The Joker is actually Dick Grayson (a la The Dark Knight Strikes Back). That was never particularly believable of course, but it's still a relief to know that the actual Nightwing is going to make his presence felt in the DC Extended Universe, especially when it seemed for a while as if he would be relegated to an upcoming Teen Titans TV series on TNT.
