8 Upcoming Movies Everybody Will Watch With Hidden Agendas

1. The Bling Ring

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BST3CCnP6uE What Is It? The fifth film by Francis Ford Coppola's child daughter-turned-director Sofia Coppola, The Bling Ring is based on the true story about a group of teenagers who, over the course of a year, had fun times breaking into celebrities houses and stealing their possessions. Why You'll Say You'll See It... "Oh, yeah, Sofia Coppola is one of our greatest female auteurs, and the material here is absolutely perfect for the tragic, alienated stories she likes to connect us with. Yeah?" Why You Really Want To See It... C'mon, man, don't play that game with me: you know exactly why you want to see this thing. And going by the teaser trailer alone, it's going to give you precisely what you want, too - a provocative and skimpily-clad Emma Watson, poking her tongue out with a "come hither" expression stuck on her face, and acting - for once - like she doesn't give a shit. Yes, in what appears to be a conscious career move to shed her "good girl" image, the former Hogwarts boffin has finally signed on to star in a movie that demands she acts in scenes that involve "sexy nightclub dances" and "standing around in tight jean shorts." And the best thing is that this is all completely fine, 'cause The Bling Ring is directed by a respected female filmmaker, so it's, like, cool that Emma is doing this, isn't it? I mean, it's not like it's Michael Bay or anything (he would surely have a field day). So, yeah, claim that you're into this one for the "art" and "interesting true life story," but watch as it becomes Sofia Coppola's highest grossing movie ever in the space of, like, three days.
