8 Upcoming Movies Undergoing Reshoots (And What It Means)

The Reshoots
Doug Liman's upcoming Y.A. adaptation starring Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley is one of the more curious blockbuster projects in development.
Originally shot between August and November of 2017, only now is Liman carrying out three weeks of reshoots, apparently due to Holland and Ridley's busy schedules shooting Spider-Man: Far From Home and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker respectively.
The reshoots are running for three weeks until early May, and come following Lionsgate removing the film from their slate and its original March 1, 2019 release date. It's currently expected to land sometime in 2020, but no concrete date has been set.
What They Mean
It's tough to say, but Chaos Walking definitely has more than a whiff of a troubled production about it - as any film lingering this long in post-production would.
To his credit, director Liman has been posting frequent updates about the reshoots and seems to be putting on a confident front, and given his (mostly) solid track record, he could simply be tightening things up.
But the film's lengthy gestation period and near-total lack of marketing presence almost two years after shooting started is definitely a bit worrying.
It'd be reasonble not to expect much good from this, but wait for the first trailer before writing it off entirely.
