9 Filmmakers Who Apologised For Their Movies

1. George Clooney - Batman And Robin

Yep, Batman And Robin again. George Clooney can€™t really be blamed for accepting the role of Batman. At that stage in his career he was trying to make the jump from TV to the big screen, so getting offered the title role in a massive franchise is a no-brainer. When he arrived on set in his outfit to see ice-skating henchmen and Arnold Schwarzenegger talking entirely in ice puns, he was probably as horrified as everyone else. Even when promoting it he seemed a tad uncomfortable, so once the movie had been out awhile he let his true feelings be known. He€™s said to offer refunds out of his own wallet to people who tell him they watched it, in addition to keeping a picture of himself in the batsuit on his desk, as a gentle warning to not make stupid mistakes. When talking about Tomorrowland to a crowd at Comic-Con, he said. €œI just met Adam West there and I apologised to him. Sorry about the nipples on the suit. Freeze, freeze, I apologise for that."

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
