9 Filmmakers Who Apologised For Their Movies

2. Shia LaBeouf - Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull

Shia LaBeouf likes to apologise; he even did a whole art performance about it. Granted it was for that time he plagiarised another artist for a short film, without crediting him. Still, he€™s one of the rare stars who are forthcoming about their failures. He was completely honest about the failures of Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, stating that he, Harrison Ford and Spielberg weren€™t happy with how it turned out either. He knows people were disappointed in it, and he accepts his part of the blame. €œYou get to the monkey-swinging and things like that and you can blame it on the writer and you can blame it on Steven. But the actor€™s job is to make it come alive and make it work, and I couldn€™t do it. So that€™s my fault. Simple.€ He then said that he and Spielberg €œdropped the ball€ over the film, though he later apologised for saying that when the director gave him an angry phone call over his comments.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
