9 Great MCU Characters Who'll Never Get A Solo Movie
3. Loki
It’s well known that Marvel has a villain issue; to put it bluntly, most of them suck. From Whiplash to the dark elf things they’re either not terribly threatening, or plain dull.
Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is the exception to this. He might be evil, but he’s a lot of fun, and he has just enough humanity you almost hope he’ll be redeemed. With Hiddleston’s star on the rise, a Loki spin-off makes sense (and really, would anybody miss Thor?), plus it would be nice to focus on an anti-hero for a change.
Hiddleston has said he’d love to do one, but he and Marvel only see the character working when he’s in opposition to Thor. Since Ragnarok is rumoured to be Loki’s final appearance (he can’t keep getting away with his mischief after all), and there’s no movement from Marvel on a potential spin-off, the chances are slim.
