A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors was the last Elm Street movie of genuine quality for nearly eight years.

Dream Warriors obviously wasn't perfect, but it looks like somewhat of a masterpiece when held up against A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child and Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare.

Largely taking place in Westin Hills Psychiatric Hospital, Elm Street 3 sees a ragtag group of troubled teens come together to become the Dream Warriors after discovering their own unique dream-driven abilities. And one such teen is Jennifer Rubin's Taryn White.

In terms of her past, Taryn has had drug addiction issues, and it's in that particular vice that her ultimate fate lies.

Once the Dream Warriors are separated in their dream world battle with Freddy Krueger, Taryn - whose abilities turn her into a switchblade-wielding "beautiful and bad" punk - initially fares okay against Freddy, managing the rare feat of wounding this creepy child killer.

Krueger would of course come out the victor in this fight, and he'd get the W by turning Taryn's fingers into drug syringes - forcing her to inject herself to the extent that she dies.

While Taryn seemed to have toppled her own addiction issues, uber-bastard Freddy exploited this vice to get the better of her.
