9 Major Marvel Movie Events That Could Follow Avengers: Infinity War
1. Kree-Skrull War
This is one of those instances where the character rights Marvel Studios lacks don't have to cause a problem if its writing teams get creative.
Published during the early 1970s, the Kree-Skrull War storyline, centres on a conflict between two warring alien races, with Earth's Mightiest Heroes caught in the middle.
This isn't just an intergalactic slug fest - there's depth, emotion, inter-hero conflict and complex ethical issues woven into the story, and it would work well as a follow-up to the Avengers: Infinity War movie.
As for how Marvel could bring it to the screen, the male version of Captain Marvel could be swapped out for the Brie Larson incarnation, who is nearing her screen debut, and the Fantastic Four could make way for the Guardians of the Galaxy.
And if Fox is unwilling to play ball with the rights to the Skrulls - which it owns via its Fantastic Four license - the Chitauri would make a worth substitute given that their race is likely to be in chaos after Thanos's eventual defeat.
