With Devilman you get a teen who is granted demonic powers to save humanity, but that doesn’t necessary make him a hero. The demon inside him is a bloodthirsty monster who’s not hugely bothered with little things like mercy or collateral damage. This is seen in the OVA Devilman: The Birth, which retells his manga origin.

When the demon side of him takes over during the middle of a nightclub filled with demons - long story - he starts tearing them apart. His first victim pulls the short straw, when he grabs her head with his clawed hand and squeezes until it explodes into a fountain of red.
