8. Mason Verger Treats The People He Relies On To Live Horribly - Hannibal

Mason Verger was a former patient of Hannibal Lecter, and arguably just as much of a monster as the cannibal. He was a wealthy sadist and sexual predator, who was drugged by Lecter and tricked into slicing off his own face and feeding it to dogs. Verger was understandably upset by this, spending years cooking up the perfect revenge plot against his former doctor. When he finally captures Hannibal he gloats about his plan to feed Hannibal to a pack of wild boars, while he sits and watches. Clarice Sterling intervenes and saves Hannibal's life, and as they make their escape Hannibal turns to Verger's put upon carer, encouraging him to just push the helpless Mason into the boar pen. His assistant doesn't need to be asked twice and dumps Verger in with the pigs. All he can do is watch as the pigs close in and start devouring him. Verger's elaborate plan could have succeeded if he had some armed guards to make sure nothing went wrong. But, more importantly, he shouldn't have been so mean to his nurse.
