Ben Affleck the director is, if anything, more revered than Ben Affleck the actor. And it's not hard to see why - when he's behind the camera Affleck has a much better eye for a good project. While he can end up in all manner of Daredevils and Giglis as an actor, all three of the films he's directed have been spot-on. Starting off safe adapting a novel from the brilliant Dennis Lehane set in his beloved Boston, he got increasingly more adventurous. And it all paid off when Argo dominated the 2013 awards season. Affleck was the star of both The Town and Argo (a trend set to continue if the speculation he may direct The Batman is true). He considered doing the same for his debut feature, but ultimately kept entirely behind the camera, with younger brother Casey taking the lead role. Is Casey hadn't taken the role, do you think think it would have gone to Brian, that notorious third Affleck brother? Or Jason Segel?
