8. The Shredder Survives Being Crushed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret Of The Ooze
The Shredder is the iconic villain of The Turtles series, so it made sense for him to come back for the follow-up. A problem, given his crushing defeat in part one. He Was Dead: The Shredder was defeated by Splinter after a rooftop showdown, where he was flipped off the building and into the back of a garbage truck. Casey Jones, the human vigilante, accidentally flips the compacter switch, which seems to crush The Shredder to death. The Shredder may have been a bad guy, but it seems strange no one was disturbed that Casey just flat out murdered somebody in such a cruel way. ...But He Got Better: That wasnt a big problem though, as The Secret Of The Ooze reveals The Shredder survived the events of the movie. He digs himself out of the trash heap and reclaims his role as leader of The Foot Clan, and he seeks revenge on the heroes in a half shell. The movie doesnt even bother explaining how he survived, and all he has to show for his ordeal are a few facial scars.
