9 Outrageous Ways Famous Movie Characters Came Back From The Dead

5. Chev Survives Falling Out Of A Helicopter €“ Crank: High Voltage

The Crank movies are basically the live action version of Grand Theft Auto, where hitman Chev (Jason Statham) has to keep his heart beating through various lawbreaking means. Which include gun fights, car chases and public sex. He Was Dead...: In the original movie Statham€™s character is injected with a poison that is slowly killing him, and the only way to stay alive is to keep his adrenaline pumping. He survives long enough to chase his mortal enemy onto a helicopter, which they both fall out of. After a quick call to his girlfriend, he crashes to earth. And looks pretty dead. ...But He Got Better: Crank: High Voltage explains Chev survived because he has an indestructible heart, which is promptly stolen by gangsters to give to their elderly leader. He's given an electrical replacement heart, which he has to keep powered by shocking himself. He sets out to get his real heart back, punching everyone in his way. While it does undermine the surprisingly sweet ending of Crank; the cartoony logic of these movies makes it easy to forgive Statham€™s unlikely survival. The indestructible heart maybe one thing, but it doesn€™t explain how he didn€™t break every bone in his body and liquefy his organs when he hit the ground. It€™s better not to worry about these things.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
