9 Retarded Movie Villains Who Were Successfully Reimagined

4. Two-Face

Retarded: Tommy Lee Jones' hammy take on Harvey Dent aka Two-Face sort of worked for the silly tone Joel Schumacher was shooting for, but after watching Aaron Eckhart's portrayal, it just seems lame and desperate. Particularly harrowing is the facial make-up, which runs down exactly half of his face, and the fact that he ends up being killed when Batman throws a fistful of coins at him. Terrible. Reimagined: Though many argued that Two-Face should have been saved for his own movie, Aaron Eckhart gives a fantastic portrayal of both Harvey Dent and his eventual villain in The Dark Knight, capturing both the chiselled-jaw idealism of the character as a politician, and then the violent mania of his vengeful side once Rachel is blown to bits. Thanks to grotesque visual effects and a tense final standoff, this is the definitive Two-Face we had been waiting for.
