2. The Legend Of Conan
The Legend Of Conan would have seen Arnold return as the famous barbarian after a thirty-year break, while ignoring the (very ignorable) second movie. The story would have an old Conan getting kicked off his throne by ambitious youngsters, and having to regain his old barbaric instincts to redeem himself.
The project has been talked about endlessly over the last few years, and like a lot of Arnold’s hyped projects it never gets any further. A greenlight seemed dependent on the success of Terminator Genisys, and given that movie’s tepid response Legend has gone quiet again.
The movie would have apparently made way for a Robert E. Howard cinematic universe (yay, another one!), but since the movie would cost a fortune and need to be rated R, the studio has yet to press ahead.
Since the 2011 reboot of Conan starring Jason Momoa was a bomb and Arnold is no longer able to guarantee a big crowd, this Conan adventure is likely to remain a Legend.
