9 Suffering Film Franchises That Need The Old Yeller Treatment

3. The Fast and The Furious

In 2001 shaved gorilla, Vin Diesel, and Gap model reject, Paul Walker, combined their awe-inspiring lack of charisma to rip-off Point Break in a glorified Honda Civic commercial entitled The Fast and The Furious. While light on plot the film did feature enough macho posturing and fast shiny things to become a big hit among frat dwelling gebrones and gearheads worldwide. A sequel bizzarely titled 2 Fast 2 Furious opened the floodgates and, a decade on, the sixth installment is hitting theatres this summer with 7 Fast 7 Furious a seeming inevitability. The Fast and The Furious does have its fans but even they must be sick of Walker's squint-acting and Diesel's (if that is his real name) subsimian grunting at this point. Before we're treated to Fast Furious 10: In Space, the producers of the franchise should do the honorable thing and smother any possible sequels in the crib before another hellspawn grows up to terrorize the world yet again.
