9 Things You Need To Know About Ben Affleck’s Batman

2. The New Batman€™s An Evolution Of Christian Bale€™s Caped Crusader

Affleck's decision to become Warner Bros. and DC's new Batman was in part due to the difference between Nolan and Bale's interpretation on Batman and Snyder's take, with Affleck teasing a Bruce Wayne within the same vein but that will, intriguingly, be an "older and wiser version". Affleck is in reality just one year older than Christian Bale, but set photos of Affleck as Bruce Wayne reveal a stubblier, wearier-looking billionaire playboy with streaks of silvering hair. In an interview from last year, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara revealed that Batman V Superman's Caped Crusader will be €œtired and weary and seasoned.€ This will, of course, remain in line with the rumour that Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns - and its older, more "seasoned" Batman - will provide a major influence for Affleck's Dark Knight. It looks like you'll be getting a Bruce Wayne long past the idealistic younger days of Batman Begins and well into middle-age.
