9 Times Actors Majorly Spoiled Their Own Movies
1. Michael Keaton - Batman
Moving away from Marvel and on to DC, the production studios still does not have a clean spoiler free slate on their side either. Back in 1989, Tim Burton released his own versions of the bat protagonist from the comics, starring Michael Keaton as the main character and Shining star Jack Nicholson as The Joker.
Many fans prefer this version of Batman to any that have come afterwards, each showing the turmoil of the orphan Bruce Wayne after the demise of his parents. In many versions of the comics, the famous pearl murder sequence is seen again and again, as his mother and father are killed. However, for some who may not be familiar, it is a mystery to who is behind this shocking turn of events.
The day before Batman was to be released, Michael Keaton appeared on the Late Night with David Letterman, in which he gave just a little too much away. When asked to explain what the protagonist is going through, the actor reveals that it was The Joker who killed Batman's parents, soon realising that he had essentially spoiled the big reveal for the film. The audience can be heard audibly sighing as Keaton apologises for what he has done.
