9 Upcoming Movie Trailers That Are Probably Tricking You
2. It's More Drama Than Comedy - Vice

As absurdly entertaining as the latest political dramedy from Adam McKay (The Big Short) looks, one gets the sneaking suspicion that Annapurna is deciding to market the movie as a far broader, funnier film than it actually is.
The slickly edited trailer, set to The Killers' hit tune "The Man" no less, feels like it's aiming for the widest possible Christmas-time audience. Because of course, people like to watch feel good movies in late-December, not depressing history lessons.
If early screening reports are to be believed, Vice is a far more serious, even "sobering" film than the marketing suggests, intended to stir up righteous anger in the audience rather than leave them guffawing at A-list actors playing real-life political figures under heaps of makeup.
Watch as it still ends up nominated for the "Best Picture - Musical or Comedy" award at the Golden Globes, though.
