The Sequel Already In Development: Avengers: Infinity War - Part II

Avengers: Infinity War - Part I marks the first time that an unreleased sequel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has another sequel in development; it's a bold new step for Marvel, and a huge undertaking. Yes, there have been semi-sequels in development (sort-of Avengers movies like Civil War, to name but one), but Infinity War is different... this is a unmade film with its follow-up already being publicly planned.

In all likelihood - and according to what we've been told so far - the two parts of Infinity War will be shot back-to-back at the same time. You know, to save on production costs; catering... that sort of thing. Infinity War - Part I will be unveiled to feverish Marvel fans in May of 2018, while the follow-up will come a year later (that's right! Only a year!) in 2019.

Whether or not both flicks will stay branded as "Part I" and "Part II" is anybody's guess - there are some who believe these names are mere placeholders, but I'm not so sure. Can we really call a movie Avengers: Infinity War - [insert another title here]? Star Wars has been doing it for years, I suppose, so you never know.

Anyway, get used to this relentless barrage of MCU sequels. This is your life now. You can't escape it, so you're better to just smile and embrace the madness.
