9 Ways Suicide Squad Will Redeem The DC Movie Universe

7. It's Got A Great Cast

A team-up movie like this really relies on the power of an ensemble cast to make it work; that's why movies like The Dirty Dozen or The Magnificent Seven have stuck around this long. While Suicide Squad is a lot more modern and hip than those examples the same principle applies, in that the cast need to click together to make it all way.

Margot Robbie and Jared Leto are just about perfect for the roles of Harley and The Joker, Viola Davis will flat out rock playing Amanda Waller and Will Smith should earn himself some much-needed redemption playing Deadshot.

David Ayer has proved he’s able to draw charismatic turns out of normally bland performers, like Sam Worthington in Sabotage and Shia LaBeouf in Fury, so he might be the guy who makes Joel Kinnaman, Scott Eastwood and Jai Courtney interesting for the first time ever.

Underrated actors like Jay Hernandez and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje round out the line-up, meaning the Suicide Squad should be a fun bunch to spend a couple of hours with.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
