A Good Day To Die Hard: 5 Sequels Bruce Willis Should Have Made Instead

2. Lucky Number Slevin

991 Whilst Bruce Willis's Mr. Goodkat was not the central protagonist of Lucky Number Slevin, a role that fell to Josh Hartnett's Slevin Kelevra, he was an extremely memorable central character, as well as one of the only few to actually survive the whole film. The film itself involved a young man, Slevin, who is mistaken for his friend Nick and forced to kill the son of The Rabbi, a mob boss, by his biggest rival, The Boss, or to pay back the large gambling debt Nick has built up. Mr. Goodkat is an infamous assassin who has been operating for an extremely long time, with a twist towards the climax of the film revealing that Slevin is actually Henry, a boy who Goodkat was supposed to kill twenty years previously to the film, but instead chose to take in and raise. Goodkat had been preparing Henry for the time when they could get revenge on The Rabbi and The Boss, after they ordered the deaths of Henry's parents, also being the ones who ordered Goodkat to kill Henry in the first place. Another film that is ended neatly and happily for each of the protagonists, it goes without saying that a sequel may not exactly be necessary; it would however be highly entertaining. There are numerous routes that could be taken, with a prequel being the answer for this entry as well, exploring Goodkat's past as a professional assassin as he led a double life, killing his targets whilst also trying to protect Henry and teach him at the same time. Whilst this make for an interesting film, this list is undoubtedly focused on sequels, and so it could be more than plausible for Goodkat and Henry to reconnect and take on further marks that have had negative impacts on the lives of others, or for someone affiliated with either The Rabbi, or The Boss, to hunt them down, forcing them to take up the fight again. Maybe even another highly skilled assassin could have been affiliated with the bosses, making a large amount of money from the targets they fed him, who know wants to kill Goodkat and Henry to gain revenge for them drying up his income market. Revenge is a never-ending circle after all.
