A Quiet Place 2: 7 Big News Revelations About The Upcoming Sequel

1. A Bigger Budget

The biggest and most impactful news to have come out about the sequel is that both Platinum Dunes and Paramount are looking to step up the film's budget pretty immensely.

The first film had a relatively small budget of $17 million, which seems downright minuscule compared to other films produced by Michael Bay. As a result of this, performers like Emily Blunt took serious pay cuts to keep the budget reasonable.

However, the sequel is reportedly going to have a substantially larger budget that will allow not only for Blunt and Krasinski to take home larger salaries, but also to accommodate more extensive effects work. While the first film certainly had no shortage of monster-centric action, it was all set inside a relatively small space.

The sequel, however, is looking to be road movie of sorts, with the character traveling across the wasteland. If true, such a film would require a larger budget just to bring that much of the world to life on the big screen.
