10 More Best Actor Replacements In Movies
4. Tig Notaro - Army of the Dead
Comedian Chris D'Elia was originally cast in a supporting role in Zack Snyder's zombie heist flick Army of the Dead, as the crew's helicopter pilot Peters.
However, after sexual misconduct allegations were levelled against D'Elia during post-production, Snyder made the decision to remove D'Elia from the film and replace him with comedienne Tig Notaro.
This resulted in reshoots where Notaro performed the part mostly opposite stand-ins, with CGI being used to integrate her performance into previously shot scenes, the result of which is impressively seamless for the most part.
More to the point, Notaro gives one of the best performances in the film, her sardonic persona adding some welcome flavour to what's otherwise a relatively generic action-horror film.
