Before the sequel to Prometheus ended up with the title Alien: Covenant, it was going by the name Alien: Paradise Lost, an obvious allusion to John Miltons blank verse epic poem of the same name about the Fall of Man. This ditched title and its poetic ramifications raises some big questions for the sequel. What sort of paradise existed in the Alien universe to start with? And in what sense it has been lost? Also, if the Engineers are the true gods of this fictional universe, does that mean theres a Satan as well?
