6. The Engineers' Creator Is Revealed

The Theory: Despite Prometheus implying that the Engineers seeded the human race on Earth, it will in fact be revealed that the Engineers are actually a servant race for another higher power who was truly responsible for humanity's existence.

The Truth: Though Prometheus suggested the next movie would delve deeper into the Engineers' mythology and likely explain why they hated humanity so much, they're largely sidelined in Covenant, and any wider questions about the Engineers' own creation aren't touched on at all.

Hopefully the next movie may return to this question, because it felt like a waste to cast the Engineers aside so blatantly here after Prometheus invested so much in them.
