Alien: Covenant - 18 WTF Moments

7. The Missing Footage

Curiously, one of the biggest money shots from the movie's marketing didn't end up in the final film: the terrifying image of the xenomorph bounding along a hallway inside the escape lander, bathed in a red light. It's hard to imagine why Scott ended up cutting this, because it's such a cool visual.

Then there's the "She Won't Go Quietly" clip that was released a few days before the film's release, which showed Daniels responding to an alert and tracking down the xeno, only to be told by Muthur that the creature is "four meters above [her]". The xeno then emerges out of the shadows as Daniels aims her gun and the clip cuts away.

Honestly, it's an awesome sequence with a terrific visual of Daniels aiming her gun light through a thick layer of mist (though the musical choice is pretty questionable) and would've fit into the final film pretty well. However, it actually turned out to be a promotional clip that was merely "conceived" by Ridley Scott and filmed by his son, Luke.
