11. Jensen Ackles

A name that is being banded around a lot with regards to the new Venom movie is Supernatural's Jensen Ackles - and he also seems to be a very popular choice. There seems to be a general consensus that he is exactly how a movie adaptation of Eddie Brock should look and that his performances in Supernatural throw a lot of weight behind his case to portray the character. Ackles has some minor experience of playing a character in a live action comic book adaptation, with his brief appearance as Jason Teague in DC's Smallville series. He's not actually too dissimilar in appearance to Topher Grace, but his far less annoying presence could work for him and he's nowhere close to being as skinny as Grace, so he could play a happy medium between the 616 and Ultimate versions of the Eddie Brock character. He's not overly accustomed to portraying villains, but he certainly has the range to put on a good show.
