20 Horror Movies You'll Never Get To See

6. All American Massacre

In 1998, principal photography began on All American Massacre - the planned fifth entry in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, which was set to be both a prequel and sequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and be directed by Tobe Hooper's son William.

Bill Moseley was in to reprise his role as Chop Top, who would be revealed to have survived the events of the second film as he embarks on a new killing spree, while musician Buckethead was cast as Leatherface.

Though the film was shot and a trailer released online, the full movie never came out - an apparent combination of rights issues and a lack of funding to complete post-production.

An unedited and incomplete VHS workprint of the film did show up on eBay last year, and though reports also emerged last year that UK outfit Dragon Studios was stepping in to finally complete the movie, this was later rebuffed by several individuals associated with the film.

If a film can sit in post-production purgatory for almost 30 years without getting finished, it's tough to believe that it'll ever actually get done.
