Near the very end of the movie, Ghost argues with Bill Foster about the lengths she's willing to go to prevent herself from disappearing, and in her determined anger she says of Janet, "If she dies, she dies."

The phrase has its origins, of course, in the 1985 cheese-ball boxing sequel Rocky IV, where after mortally wounding Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) in the ring, a cold-blooded Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) famously declares, "If he dies, he dies."

The phrase continues to be a common pop-culture mainstay, though it's still a little jarring to hear it referenced with such a straight face in one of this movie's few serious scenes.
