Easily one of the best new characters in Ant-Man and the Wasp is FBI agent Jimmy Woo, played with hilarious awkwardness by the brilliant Randall Park.

You'd be forgiven for assuming that Woo was a brand new character created for the movie, much like Luis in the original Ant-Man, but Woo is in fact based on secret agent James Woo, a character who actually predates the existence of Marvel Comics itself.

Woo was first introduced in Yellow Claw #1 way back in 1956, when Marvel Comics as we know it today was still branded as Atlas Comics.

Woo was a compatriot of Nick Fury and eventually joined the Agents of Atlas team, while this movie version is an extremely loose interpretation of the character given his incompetence and lack of martial arts skills.

Park is a riot in the role, though, so we wouldn't have it any other way.
