1. The Trailers Gave Too Much Away
Considering how Marvel Studios normally does a clever job of marketing their movies without playing their entire hand, it's undeniably disappointing that the trailers for Ant-Man and the Wasp blew most of the big money shots and gave away practically every action sequence.
Sure, there are great one-liners left un-spoiled, but you'll pretty much know exactly where the movie is going beat-to-beat if you've seen the trailers more than a few times. If that's not enough, the film's post-credits scene was even featured briefly in the trailer, which seems so utterly unnecessary.
Perhaps it was a desperation move by Marvel Studios considering the fairly so-so box office performance of the first Ant-Man, but given the sequel's merely adequate commercial run so far, was it really worth it?
