Arnold Schwarzenegger: Every Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
24. Raw Deal (1986)
The Austrian Oak only agreed to star in this generic actioner in order to escape his multi-picture contract with producer Dino De Laurentiis and as well as giving the actor the freedom to choose his own projects, Raw Deal also marked the final movie before Arnie's rapid ascension to the top of the A-list, thanks to his string of hit movies between 1987 and 1991. While the plot and action scenes are nothing special, Raw Deal marked one of the first movies where the actor's natural screen presence and self-deprecating charm served to elevate the mediocrity that surrounded him. The final product may be nothing more than standard genre fare, but it did provide the unintentional hilarity of Arnie's accent struggling with the line 'he molested, murdered and mutilated her.'
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
