Arnold Schwarzenegger: Every Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

10. The Running Man (1987)

Based loosely on the novel published under a pseudonym by Stephen King, The Running Man was Arnold Schwarzenegger's second sci-fi action movie to be released in 1987, and while it wasn't a patch on Predator, the movie delivered an entertaining enough genre movie, albeit one that didn't fully capitalize on the potential of the concept. Looking back, it can be said that the central idea of The Running Man was way ahead of its time with the notion of economic collapse, a subjugated population and the rise of reality TV. But in essence, it was still a star vehicle that saw its leading man dispense of a string of ridiculous-looking enemies while dropping quips, all while wearing a nifty yellow jumpsuit. While it has dated badly when viewed today, it still holds up as a solid action flick.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
