4. Captain America DEFINITELY Dies

The Rumour

After years of speculation and morbid flirtation, it looks like Captain America will be biting the dust at the end of Avengers 4. One particularly compelling rumour suggests that he will fall in battle while trying to protect Earth once more, which absolutely fits.

This is something that's been suspected for some time, so why's the conversation turned back to it more recently? Well, because Chris Evans tweeted a response to his final day shooting on the film and thanked everyone who'd made his time in the MCU possible. It sounded like a goodbye and naturally, that's what fans and critics took it as, as well as assuming it meant Evans' character had been killed off.

It wouldn't at all be surprising if Cap did die, because it fits both his character arc and Chris Evans' contract situation, but there's no way that the actor's social media posting was any true reflection of him saying goodbye because Cap was dead. In a response, he claimed that it was rubbish to suggest as much.

And quite frankly, nobody would be surprised if Cap does bite the big one before Avengers 4 has come to a close. It's just unlikely this is how you'd find out.
